COGS 3RD INTERNATIONAL MEETING (2026)
Join us for the 3rd International COGS Meeting, Sex, Gender and Health: Catalyzing Change in an Evolving World, to be held March 11–13, 2026 at the iconic Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Canada.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Canadian Organization for Gender and Sex Research (COGS) is hosting our 3rd International COGS Meeting which will bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and community leaders from across the globe to explore the theme Sex, Gender and Health: Catalyzing Change in an Evolving World. This meeting is a unique forum for advancing cutting-edge science while fostering collaboration across disciplines, sectors, and borders.
At the heart of this theme is recognition that our world is rapidly transforming through technological innovation, shifting sociopolitical landscapes, climate change, and more. These evolving realities influence health in profound ways and demand that we examine how sex and gender intersect with these forces to address inequities and create opportunities for improved health for all.
The program will showcase emerging evidence, innovative methodologies, and real-world applications that address inequities and improve outcomes for diverse populations. Beyond knowledge exchange, the conference is designed to catalyze action—sparking new partnerships, strengthening research capacity, and equipping attendees with tools to embed sex, gender, and health equity into every facet of their work. Together, we will chart a course for a healthier, more inclusive future in an evolving world.
CIHR INSTITUTE OF GENDER AND HEALTH (IGH) AND COGS PRESENT:
THE EARLY CAREER RESEARCHER PRE-COURSE
IGH and COGS are committed to fostering capacity and supporting growth within the Canadian Sex, Gender, and Health research community. We are pleased to invite Early Career Researchers (ECRs) attending the COGS Conference to submit an application to attend a 1-day Early Career Researcher Pre-Course on March 11, 2026 from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Please note: Applicants accepted into the ECR Pre-Course will receive complimentary registration to attend the 3rd International COGS Meeting, courtesy of IGH.
In recognition of the challenges and opportunities unique to ECRs, this workshop is designed to enhance professional growth with practical skills and strategic insights to position ECRs as leaders in tomorrow’s sex and gender science landscape. Sessions will include skill-building sessions (e.g. writing competitive sex and gender+ grants), networking opportunities, and other capacity bridging activities. More information will be shared soon.
To be eligible to attend the Early Career Researcher Pre-Course, applicants must also submit an abstract to the 3rd International COGS Meeting. Early Career Researchers (as defined by CIHR) and Senior Postdoctoral Trainees (in the final year of their training) from Canadian Universities are invited to apply.
